This is the first post of photos from our recent trip to the Galapagos Islands. On day 1 we found this little ceramic garden in Puerto Ayora, as well as a sculpture dedicated to Charles Darwin.
On day 2 we went on a tour of the bay for half a day. First stop was rocks to check out marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies and sea lions, all while within the boat. Then we went to Las Grietas, a volcanic fracture with water, and finally a walk around the Tunnel of Love and views of marine iguanas and Sally lightfoot crabs. Oh, and seals.
Later that afternoon we took a hellish boat ride from Santa Cruz to Isabela. Once we’d checked-in, the hotel manager took us to a nearby lagoon where we could see Galapagos flamingoes and a Galapagos duck.

What do you say, eh?
